Danny and Sylvia: The Danny Kaye Musical
Final Week!
Danny & Sylvia
follows the rise of Danny Kaye from an undisciplined improvisational comic to an international film star under the guidance of Sylvia Fine, who served as mentor, wife, and manager. Many of Danny's hit songs are featured including "Tchaikovsky", "Anatole of Paris", "Minnie the Moocher" and "Deena".
Brian Childers is "....magnificent as Danny Kaye. Childers makes you feel as if you're watching the real Mr. Kaye. Every gesture is perfect and he's mastered the mimicry and dialects that were such a great part of Kayes performances. It is no wonder that the Helen Hayes awards committee chose to honor Mr. Childers with "outstanding lead actor in a musical." -
